In the first quarter of 2021, France's dating app scene saw various trends across the top 5 dating applications on a unified platform. Data provided by Sensor Tower showcases the performance of these apps in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Tinder: Chat, Dating & Friends maintained strong performance, with revenue peaking at nearly $460K in late March. The app saw downloads hovering around 40K per week and active users consistently above 1.75M, reaching up to 1.9M in mid-March.
adopte - app de rencontre, a French-originated dating service, experienced a revenue high of over $200K in late March. The app's downloads fluctuated, with a notable spike to 15K in mid-February, while weekly active users remained around the 250K mark.
happn — Dating app also showed a consistent revenue trend, cresting at over $130K in early March. The downloads saw a significant increase to over 31K in mid-February, and active users grew to over 760K in the same period.
Badoo: Dating. Chat. Friends, a UK-based app, saw its revenue remain above $100K for most of the quarter, with downloads reaching 30K in late January. The app's active users showed an upward trend, nearing 960K by late March.
Lastly, Azar - Video Chat witnessed a revenue peak of over $100K in mid-March. Downloads started at 33K at the end of December, gradually declining to 15K by the end of March. Active users showed a slight decrease over the quarter, ending just below 180K.
