The second quarter of 2021 saw notable trends in the performance of the top 5 travel and local apps on the Android platform in Kuwait. Here’s a detailed look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Wego - Flights, Hotels, Travel experienced a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 558 downloads in late March to peaking at 1.9K by mid-June. Weekly active users showed a fluctuating trend, beginning at approximately 13.6K and reaching a high of 15.2K in mid-June before dropping to 13.1K by the end of the quarter.
كويت مسافر Kuwait mosafer, released in April 2021, saw a rapid rise in weekly downloads, starting from 573 in the second week of April and reaching a peak of 3.4K in mid-May. The app's growth trajectory in downloads was notable despite no recorded revenue data.
Google Earth maintained a steady weekly download rate, with numbers ranging from 511 to 731 throughout the quarter. The app’s weekly active users also remained stable, fluctuating between approximately 3.1K and 3.6K.
Hogozat showed an initial decline in weekly downloads, dropping to 79 in early May. However, it rebounded significantly, reaching 1.3K by the end of May and maintaining a stable download rate above 700 through June. No active user data was recorded for this app.
Google Maps Go experienced a relatively stable download rate, ranging between 273 and 485 weekly downloads. The app's weekly active users saw slight fluctuations, peaking at 5.1K in early May and ending the quarter at around 4.9K.
