In Q2 2021, the top five food delivery service applications in Algeria experienced varied performance trends. Data from Sensor Tower provides a detailed look at weekly downloads and active users for these apps on a unified platform.
temtem saw significant fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 11.6K in mid-April and dropping to around 2.1K by late June. Active users mirrored this trend, with a high of 15.1K in mid-April and a low of around 5.9K towards the end of June.
Jumia Food - Food delivery maintained a steadier performance. Weekly downloads ranged from 1.4K to 3.8K, with a noticeable increase in mid-May. Active users remained fairly consistent, averaging around 47K weekly, with a peak of approximately 53.7K in mid-May.
Yassir Express experienced a notable dip in early Q2 but saw recovery by mid-June. Downloads fell from 9.4K at the end of March to around 1.3K in late April, later rising to approximately 2.5K by the end of June. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 34.2K and dipping to around 20.7K in late April, before rebounding to approximately 26.3K by the end of June.
Gorillas: Grocery Delivery had an unusual download pattern, with a sharp increase in mid-May to around 10.4K, followed by a significant drop to just 11 downloads by mid-June. Active users peaked at approximately 10.8K in late May but gradually declined to around 2.3K by the end of June.
Wajeez: Food delivery and more showed a relatively stable performance with weekly downloads ranging from 413 to 2.1K. The app saw a peak in early April and maintained moderate download figures throughout the quarter.
