In the second quarter of 2021, the top 5 navigation and maps applications in Russia showed varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a detailed look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Yandex Maps & Navigator maintained a robust presence with downloads starting at 220K in late March and peaking at 250K by the end of June. Weekly active users were consistently high, beginning at 7.8M and ending slightly higher at 8.5M. Revenue saw a modest start with no earnings until mid-June, where it reached around $36, peaking at $42 in the third week of June.

2GIS: Offline Map & Navigation experienced steady downloads throughout the quarter, beginning at approximately 150K and fluctuating around this number, peaking at 158K in late May. Active users showed a gradual increase from 6.0M to 6.3M. However, the app did not generate any revenue during this period.

Yandex Navi – navigation, maps saw a positive trend in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads started at 123K and grew steadily to 163K by the end of June.
