In the second quarter of 2021, the top navigation and maps applications in South America showcased varying trends in downloads and active users, as tracked by Sensor Tower. Here's a breakdown of the performance of these apps:
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a consistent level of weekly downloads, fluctuating between 232K and 287K. The app maintained a robust base of active users, peaking at 7.7M in the final week of June.
Google Maps Go saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, reaching 176K in the week of June 21. Active users also grew steadily, culminating in nearly 9.7M by the end of the quarter.
Google Earth displayed a mixed trend in downloads, peaking at 102K in mid-April before declining and then rising again to 96K by late June. Active user numbers improved over the quarter, ending at approximately 658K.
GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation from AppStar Studios saw modest weekly revenue, peaking at around $209 in early April. Downloads showed a positive trend, climbing to 35K by the end of June. Active users increased, reaching 95K in the last week of the quarter.
GPS Navigation Maps Directions by SaaAneeDroid generated weekly revenue that peaked at $212 in the final week of June. The app saw fluctuating download numbers, with a high of 30K in late April, and active user numbers ranging from 33K to 45K throughout the quarter.
