During the third quarter of 2021, the top 2D cartoon games on the Android platform in Sweden demonstrated notable trends in their performance metrics. Here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active user trends for the top five games, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Candy Crush Saga from King saw a significant increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $65K in the last week of September. Weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of approximately 1.6K in early July, while weekly active users consistently hovered around the 45K mark, peaking at 49.4K in early August.
Coin Master by Moon Active experienced a rise in weekly revenue towards the end of the quarter, culminating at about $44K in the last week of September. Weekly downloads showed a slight decline, with numbers ranging between 570 and 860. Active users decreased from 36K at the start of the quarter to roughly 26K by the end.
Candy Crush Soda Saga, another hit from King, had stable weekly revenue, peaking at around $21K in mid-September. Weekly downloads saw a downward trend, starting at 875 in early July and dropping to approximately 490 by the end of the quarter. Active users also showed a decline, from 18K to around 16K.
Empires & Puzzles: Match-3 RPG from Small Giant Games had a consistent revenue stream, peaking at about $21K in late September. Weekly downloads ranged from 190 to 330, while active users showed a slight decline, starting at 5.8K and ending at around 5.5K.
Hay Day by Supercell maintained steady weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $15K in late August. Weekly downloads varied, with the highest at 1.2K in late June and the lowest around 650 in late September. Active users showed a downward trend from 59K to approximately 47K by the end of the quarter.
