The third quarter of 2021 saw varied performance among the top 5 dating apps on the Android platform in Luxembourg. Here’s a breakdown of their weekly downloads, revenue, and active users:
Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date experienced a consistent revenue stream, peaking at approximately $1.6K in the week of August 9. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly, with a high of 112 in mid-July and mid-August, and a low of 63 in the final week of September. Active users showed a gradual decline from around 5.3K in late June to about 4.6K by the end of September.
Badoo Dating App: Meet & Date had a significant spike in weekly revenue, reaching nearly $1K in mid-July, before stabilizing around $200 to $300 in September. Downloads remained relatively stable, with numbers hovering between 68 and 110 throughout the quarter. Active users saw a slight increase from 2.9K in late June to 2.8K by the end of September.
SoLive - Live Video Chat showed an erratic trend in revenue, peaking at about $1.6K in the week of July 26, but generally staying below $300 for most other weeks. Downloads were minimal, often numbering in single digits, with no clear upward or downward trend.
iDates - Chat, Flirt, Singles had a challenging quarter, with revenue peaking at $1K in late June but dropping to below $150 for most of the quarter. Downloads were almost negligible, with only a handful of weeks recording any new downloads.
Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat maintained a steady revenue stream with a noticeable peak at $315 in mid-September. Downloads were consistent, ranging from 11 to 23 per week. Active users remained stable, fluctuating slightly around the 900 mark.
