In the third quarter of 2021, the top social apps on Android in Brazil demonstrated diverse performance metrics in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at the trends for the top 5 social apps: TikTok, Instagram, TikTok Lite - Save Data, Helo - Humor and Social Trends, and Instagram Lite.

TikTok saw a notable increase in weekly revenue, starting from approximately $43.8K at the end of June and peaking at around $95.2K by the end of September. Weekly downloads, however, decreased from 670K to about 282K over the quarter. The app maintained a robust active user base, fluctuating around the 50M mark throughout the period.

Instagram experienced a gradual decline in weekly revenue from $9.8K to $6.3K by the end of September. On the other hand, weekly downloads exhibited an upward trend, starting at 374K and reaching approximately 390K. The active user count remained relatively stable, averaging around 60M throughout the quarter.

TikTok Lite - Save Data showed a consistent decline in weekly downloads, from 487K at the beginning of the quarter to approximately 234K by the end. Active users also saw a downward trend, starting from 27.7M and dropping to around 19.5M.

Helo - Humor and Social Trends had varying weekly downloads, peaking at 365K in early August before declining to around 238K by the end of September. Active users saw a steady increase, reaching nearly 986K by the end of the quarter.

Instagram Lite experienced a peak in weekly downloads in early August at around 344K, before falling to 164K by the end of September. Active users increased steadily, starting at 163K and reaching approximately 212K by the end of the quarter.
