In Q3 2021, the top 5 medical apps on iOS in the United Kingdom demonstrated varied performance in terms of weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of NHS App, NHS COVID-19, NHS COVID Pass Verifier, Patient Access, and COVIDCert NI.
NHS App saw significant weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 328K in mid-July. Despite a gradual decline towards the end of the quarter, it maintained a strong presence with around 223K downloads in the last week of September. Active users for the app also showed a robust upward trend, reaching a high of about 1.8M in late August before experiencing a slight dip to 1.5M by the end of the quarter.
NHS COVID-19 experienced fluctuations in its weekly downloads, with a peak of 176K in mid-July and a notable decrease to around 41K by the end of September. The app's active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 1.7M at the beginning of the quarter and dropping to approximately 412K by the end of September.
NHS COVID Pass Verifier showed a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 1.2K in mid-July and rising to nearly 40K by the end of September. The active users for this app also grew consistently, reaching over 101K by the last week of September.
Patient Access had relatively stable weekly downloads, averaging around 7K throughout the quarter with a peak of 10.7K in mid-September. The active users for this app remained steady, fluctuating between 45K and 54K, with a slight drop to around 44K by the end of the quarter.
COVIDCert NI exhibited varied download activity, peaking at around 17K in late July and ending the quarter with about 3.6K downloads in the last week of September.
