In Q3 2021, the top 5 real-time strategy apps on iOS in the United States showed varied performance in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s an overview of how each app fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Clash Royale from Supercell experienced significant fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $2.4M in early July and maintaining a steady average above $1.5M throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads ranged between 100K and 150K, showing a consistent upward trend towards the end of September. Active users increased from around 4.6M in late June to over 5M by the end of the quarter.
Voodoo’s Mob Control saw a mixed performance with weekly downloads initially high at 147K but declining to around 14K by the end of September. Revenue peaked at $8.1K in mid-August, with active users dropping from 171K in early July to 42K by the end of the quarter.
The Battle Cats by ponos corporation showed a steady increase in revenue, peaking at $373K in mid-September. Downloads were consistent, ranging around 20K to 32K weekly. Active users slightly fluctuated but remained strong, increasing from 137K in late June to 143K by the end of September.
Town Takeover, also from Voodoo, had an interesting trajectory. Despite no revenue reported, weekly downloads peaked at 40K in early August but declined significantly to around 4.7K by the end of September. Active users surged to 73K at the end of August but decreased to 52K by the end of the quarter.
CATS: Crash Arena Turbo Stars from ZeptoLab UK Limited maintained a steady revenue stream, peaking at $32K in mid-August. Weekly downloads showed some fluctuations, with a peak of 21K in mid-July and settling around 10K by the end of September. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 30K to 35K throughout the quarter.
