During the third quarter of 2021, the top 5 shopping apps in the United Arab Emirates exhibited notable trends in terms of downloads and active users. Data for this analysis comes from Sensor Tower, providing insights into the performance of these apps across both iOS and Android platforms.
noon Shopping, Food, Grocery saw its weekly downloads fluctuate throughout the quarter. Starting at approximately 19.9K in the last week of June, downloads dipped to 16.9K by the end of July but recovered to 20.3K by the last week of September. Active users for the app remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from 488K at the end of June to around 500K by the end of September.
Amazon Shopping experienced a general decline in weekly downloads, starting at 22.3K in late June and reaching a low of 13.6K in mid-August. However, downloads picked up again, closing the quarter at 20K. Active user numbers showed a slight decline from 615K in late June to about 578K by the end of September.
Alibaba.com showed a positive trend in weekly downloads, peaking at 22.3K in late August before settling at around 17.7K by the end of September. The app's active user base saw a modest increase, starting at 162.8K at the end of June and ending the quarter at approximately 170.8K.
SHEIN - Shopping Online maintained a consistent download rate throughout the quarter, fluctuating between 14.3K and 17.9K. Active users for SHEIN displayed a slight downward trend, beginning at 432.8K in late June and decreasing to around 389.7K by the end of September.
Fordeal - فورديل سوق الانترنت showed a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 11.3K in late June and peaking at 18K in early August. However, downloads tapered off to 15.1K by the end of September. Active user numbers for Fordeal exhibited a minor decline, from 141.5K at the end of June to about 149.6K by the end of September.
