During the fourth quarter of 2021, the top parenting apps on the Android platform in the United States displayed diverse trends in their performance metrics. Here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for each of these apps.
Find my kids: live GPS tracker from GEO TRACK TECHNOLOGIES INC experienced a notable decline in weekly downloads from 13.5K in mid-October to 2.5K in mid-December, before a slight rebound to 4.8K in the last week of December. Weekly revenue peaked at about $13.4K at the end of September and saw a gradual decline to approximately $8.9K by mid-December, ending the quarter with $10.2K. The active users followed a similar downward trend, starting at around 30.8K in late September and dropping to 16.3K by mid-December, with a slight increase to 20.1K by the end of the year.
MMGuardian Parental Control from MMGuardian.com saw its weekly downloads fluctuate between 1.6K and 2.5K throughout the quarter. Weekly revenue showed significant variability, starting at $10K in late September, dropping to $3.5K in early November, and then climbing back up to $10.3K by the end of December. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 26K to 28K over the period, with a slight peak to 27.2K in the final week.
Parental Control App- FamiSafe from Shenzhen Wondershare Software Co., Ltd. had weekly downloads ranging from 2.4K to 3.6K. Revenue remained steady throughout the quarter, averaging around $6.5K to $7.1K. The number of active users slightly fluctuated, starting at about 10K in late September and ending the year just under 10K.
Be Closer: Family location from Applabel LTD showed varied performance in downloads, peaking at 4.3K in the last week of December after dipping to 328 in late October. Weekly revenue started at $9K and saw a steady decline to around $5.3K by early December, ending the quarter at $5.8K. Active users showed an overall decline from 78.4K in late September to 68.6K in early December, with a recovery to 85.9K by the end of the year.
Nanit from Nanit had the lowest download numbers among the top five, ranging from 547 to 754 per week. Revenue remained relatively stable, starting at $5.7K in late September and ending at $6.4K in the last week of December.
