In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top 5 shopping apps on iOS in Ireland showed varied trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at each app's performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.
M&S - Fashion, Food & Homeware saw a significant spike in weekly downloads, peaking at around 13.4K in late October. The app's weekly active users also surged to 15.3K during the same period. However, both metrics declined towards the end of the quarter, with downloads dropping to 735 and active users decreasing to 7.3K by the last week of December.
JD Sports experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, reaching approximately 12.5K in late November. The app’s active users followed a similar trend, peaking at 24.8K in the same week. Despite a slight decline in December, the app maintained a solid user base with 13.9K active users by the end of the quarter.
Dunnes Stores demonstrated consistent growth in weekly downloads, hitting a high of 6.3K in mid-November. The app's weekly active users peaked at 61.5K during this period as well. While there was some fluctuation, the app ended the quarter with 1.9K downloads and 55.2K active users.
Amazon maintained a steady performance throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads saw a gradual increase, peaking at 3.5K at the end of December. The app consistently engaged a large user base, with weekly active users fluctuating slightly but remaining around 119K by the end of the quarter.
ASOS - Discover Fashion Online had a varied performance, with weekly downloads peaking at 3.3K in mid-November. Active users saw a rise to 20.9K during the same period. Despite a decline towards the quarter’s end, the app still had 2.1K downloads and 15.2K active users in the final week of December.
