In the final quarter of 2021, the top five social apps in Brazil demonstrated varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a detailed look at how TikTok, Facebook, BuzzCast - Live Video Chat App, Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat, and Hago- Party, Chat & Games performed.
TikTok experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $521K in mid-December. Weekly downloads saw a significant rise towards the end of the quarter, reaching over 1M in the week of December 20. Active users fluctuated slightly but remained strong, ending the quarter at approximately 73.4M.
Facebook maintained a steady weekly revenue, hovering between $33K to $48K. Weekly downloads showed a slight decline towards the end of the quarter, closing at about 513K. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 121M throughout the quarter.
BuzzCast - Live Video Chat App saw consistent weekly revenue, with minor fluctuations around the $22K mark. Weekly downloads were relatively stable, with a slight increase towards the end of December, peaking at 21K. Active users showed a slight downward trend but remained above 370K for most of the quarter.
Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $41K in mid-December. Weekly downloads remained stable, with a notable increase towards the end of December, reaching 25K. Active users showed a gradual increase, ending the quarter at around 1.2M.
Hago- Party, Chat & Games had stable weekly revenue, peaking at around $19K in early December. Weekly downloads showed a downward trend, closing at around 78K. Active users remained relatively stable, ending the quarter at approximately 561K.
