In the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 air travel apps on the Android platform in Nigeria showed varied performance trends based on weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the data:
Air Peace experienced a steady weekly download rate, starting the quarter with around 1K downloads and maintaining this trend until late January. A peak was observed in the week of January 24 with 1.1K downloads, followed by a gradual decline to approximately 715 downloads by the end of March.
Travelstart: Flights & Hotels saw fluctuating weekly downloads throughout the quarter. The app started strong with 856 downloads in the first week of January but faced a dip mid-quarter, reaching a low of 568 downloads in the week of January 31. However, it recovered slightly towards the end of the quarter with 669 downloads. The app's weekly active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 1.8K to 2K users.
Arik Air showed a similar trend in weekly downloads. The app began with 812 downloads in the first week of January and saw a peak of 798 downloads in the week of January 24. There was a noticeable decline towards the end of the quarter, with downloads dropping to 430 by the last week of March.
Flightradar24 Flight Tracker showed consistent performance in both downloads and revenue. Weekly downloads ranged from 335 to 545, peaking in the week of January 24. Revenue also showed steady numbers, with a high of $98 in the week of February 21. The app maintained an average of 1.7K to 2K weekly active users throughout the quarter.
Max Air experienced moderate performance in weekly downloads. Starting with 488 downloads in the first week of January, it saw a peak of 517 downloads in the week of January 24. However, the numbers gradually decreased, reaching a low of 344 downloads by the end of March.
