In Q1 2022, the top fast food and fast casual restaurant apps on Android in the US showed varying trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the leading apps.
McDonald's experienced notable fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at around 196K in the week of January 24. Despite a dip in early February, downloads rebounded to about 152K by the end of March. Weekly active users saw a gradual increase from 2.2M to 2.4M throughout the quarter.
Starbucks had a consistent download pattern, starting at 75K in late December and fluctuating between 40K and 50K for most of the quarter. Active users saw a slight decline from 967K to 864K, with a brief peak of 919K in early March.
The KFC US - Ordering App witnessed a significant drop in downloads from 83K in mid-January to around 25K by mid-March, but saw a resurgence to 45K in the final week of March. Active users followed a similar trend, starting at 62K and dropping to 37K in mid-February before recovering to 63K by the end of March.
Taco Bell Fast Food & Delivery showed stable download numbers, averaging around 45K downloads per week with minor fluctuations. Active users remained steady, hovering around the 340K mark throughout the quarter.
Wendy’s saw a varied download pattern, with a notable peak of 93K in the week of March 21. Active users increased steadily from 311K to 391K, with a significant rise in mid-March reaching over 400K.
