During the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 carpooling and ridesharing apps on iOS in Malta showed varied performance trends. Here's a detailed look at the weekly downloads and revenue for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Bolt: Request a Ride, published by BOLT TECHNOLOGY OU, experienced a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads. Starting at 435 downloads in the last week of December 2021, the app saw a dip to 205 downloads by mid-January. However, it rebounded to 461 downloads by the end of March. Throughout the quarter, the weekly downloads varied but generally showed an upward trend.
Heetch - Ride-hailing app, from Heetch, also displayed fluctuations in weekly downloads. Beginning with 290 downloads in late December 2021, the app peaked at 616 downloads in mid-March. The weekly downloads showed significant variability but ended the quarter with a slightly lower number of 255 downloads in the last week of March.
Uber - Request a ride, by Uber Technologies, Inc., had a more stable trend in weekly downloads. Starting at 121 downloads in the last week of December 2021, the numbers dipped to as low as 41 in mid-January. However, the app saw a gradual increase, peaking at 129 downloads in late February and maintaining around 125 downloads by the end of March.
GoTo Spain - Carsharing Madrid, published by GoTo Mobility ltd, showed a gradual increase in weekly downloads. Starting at 56 downloads in late December 2021, the app's downloads fluctuated slightly but generally trended upwards, reaching a peak of 80 downloads in early March before ending the quarter with 62 downloads in the last week of March.
Careem – rides, food & more, by Careem, had the lowest activity among the top 5 apps. Starting with 16 downloads in late December 2021, the app saw a significant drop to just 1 download in early January. Despite some fluctuations, the downloads remained relatively low, peaking at 43 in mid-March but dropping back down to 7 downloads by the end of the quarter.
