During the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 fast food and fast casual restaurant apps on iOS in New Zealand demonstrated varied performance trends. Here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads and active users for each app, with data sourced from Sensor Tower.
McDonald’s - Non-US saw a steady number of weekly downloads throughout the quarter, peaking at 3.4K in the week of January 10. The app's weekly active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 51.6K and ending the quarter at around 44.3K.
KFC New Zealand experienced a notable spike in weekly downloads, reaching 3.1K in the week of January 24. Active users also increased, with a significant jump to 22.2K in the same week, before stabilizing around 18.9K by the end of March.
Domino's NZ saw a consistent rise in weekly downloads, peaking at 1.2K in mid-March. The app's weekly active users started at 4.1K and showed a steady trend, closing the quarter at approximately 4.2K.
Burger King NZ maintained a stable download rate, with weekly downloads fluctuating between 765 and 1K.
Finally, Starbucks New Zealand experienced a peak in weekly downloads at 1.2K in late January, with a general downward trend to 700 by the end of March.
