During the first quarter of 2022, the health and fitness category on the iOS platform in France saw significant activity. Based on data from Sensor Tower, here’s a look at the performance trends of the top 5 apps in this category.
tousanticovid started the quarter with strong weekly downloads, peaking at around 183.8K in the first week of January. However, downloads saw a gradual decline, reaching about 24.3K by the end of March. Active users also saw a significant drop from approximately 1.67M at the beginning of the quarter to around 530K by the end of March.
compte ameli had a consistent download performance with a peak of about 51.1K in the first week of January. Active users fluctuated throughout the quarter, starting at around 216K and ending at approximately 206.8K.
weward - the walking app showed a steady increase in weekly downloads, reaching a peak of approximately 41.9K in mid-January. The app maintained a high number of active users, starting at around 1.97M and peaking at approximately 2.43M in late March.
basic-fit experienced a peak in weekly downloads at the beginning of January with about 60.2K. Active users saw a rise from around 153.3K at the start of the quarter to about 240.8K in early February, followed by a decline to approximately 95.8K by the end of March.
sweatcoin walking step counter had a notable spike in downloads, peaking at around 126K in the second week of January. The app's revenue also saw an increase, with a peak of approximately $7.2K in late January. Active users started at around 100.7K and peaked at approximately 247.1K in mid-January, followed by a gradual decline to about 139.2K by the end of March.
