In the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 reference apps on iOS in the Middle East showed varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a look at how each app fared:
Google Translate maintained a stable performance with weekly downloads fluctuating between approximately 48K and 66K. The app saw its peak downloads in the week of March 7 with around 66K downloads. Active users for the app ranged from 3.1M to 3.3M, maintaining a consistent user base throughout the quarter.
Athkar - أذكار experienced a notable surge in both downloads and revenue towards the end of the quarter. Weekly downloads peaked at around 37.7K in the last week of March. Revenue saw a significant jump, reaching approximately $3.4K in the same week. The app's active users also trended upwards, concluding the quarter with about 310K active users.
Muslim: Azan, Qibla, Al Quran displayed a consistent increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $6.3K in the final week of March. Weekly downloads showed a substantial rise, especially in the last week of the quarter, reaching around 21.2K. Active users also saw growth, ending the quarter with about 98K users.
Ayah - Quran App had a steady stream of downloads, with a significant spike in the last week of March, reaching around 44.1K downloads. Active users remained stable throughout the quarter, ranging from around 519K to 551K.
Quran Majeed – القران الكريم showed a consistent increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $798 in the last week of March. Downloads saw a notable rise, peaking at around 22.9K in the same period. Active users also increased, reaching about 83K by the end of the quarter.
