In the first quarter of 2022, the top fast food and fast casual restaurant apps in the United States demonstrated significant activity in terms of downloads and active users. Here, we explore the performance of the top 5 apps: McDonald's, Starbucks, Domino's Pizza USA, Chick-fil-A, and Taco Bell Fast Food & Delivery.
The McDonald's app saw a consistent weekly download rate, starting the quarter with approximately 409K downloads and ending with 372K downloads. Weekly active users showed a positive trend, rising from around 6.4M to nearly 7M by the end of the quarter.
The Starbucks app experienced a decrease in weekly downloads from 258K at the beginning of the quarter to 161K by the end of March. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly but generally maintaining around 4.5M to 4.7M.
The Domino's Pizza USA app showed a steady download rate, starting with 228K downloads and closing the quarter at 151K. Weekly active users remained consistent, hovering around 2.8M to 2.9M throughout the quarter.
The Chick-fil-A app had stable weekly downloads, beginning with 157K and ending at 113K. Weekly active users demonstrated a slight fluctuation but generally maintained around 1.8M to 2M.
The Taco Bell Fast Food & Delivery app started the quarter with 143K downloads and saw a decrease to 91K by the end of March. Weekly active users showed a consistent pattern, ranging from 900K to 1M.
