Top 5 Food Delivery Services in Dominican Republic - Q1 2022

Throughout the first quarter of 2022, the top food delivery services in the Dominican Republic demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here, we provide an overview of the trends observed for the top five apps: PedidosYa - Delivery App, Uber Eats: Food Delivery, Hugo, Glovo: Food Delivery and more, and getir: groceries, food&beyond.

PedidosYa - Delivery App saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 11K in early January and peaking at approximately 17.8K by the end of March. The app maintained a healthy number of weekly active users, fluctuating between 236K and 260K throughout the quarter.

Uber Eats: Food Delivery experienced a consistent download rate, with weekly downloads ranging from 3.2K to 4.2K. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 90K to 95K during the same period.

Hugo showed a significant spike in weekly downloads in January, reaching up to 10.6K before declining to around 1.2K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at 20.9K in January and gradually decreasing to approximately 10.5K by the end of the quarter.

Glovo: Food Delivery and more had more modest download numbers, with weekly downloads ranging from 700 to 1.5K. However, the app demonstrated a stable and slightly increasing trend in weekly active users, starting at around 66K and reaching approximately 71K by the end of March.

getir: groceries, food&beyond had lower download numbers compared to the other apps, with weekly downloads fluctuating between 200 and 650. Despite the lower download rates, the app's weekly active users showed a gradual increase from 1.8K to around 2.9K over the quarter.
