State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
In the first quarter of 2022, the music and audio app landscape in the Netherlands saw significant activity. Here’s a look at the performance of the top five apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Spotify: Music and Podcasts from Spotify AB experienced fluctuating weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $6K in late February. Downloads saw a downward trend from 33.2K in early January to about 23.3K by the end of March. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 4.6M throughout the quarter.
Grand Prix Radio from Emixion Services B.V. had a notable surge in downloads, particularly in March, with a peak of 54K in the week of March 21. The app showed a significant increase from just 603 downloads in late December to over 21K by the end of March.
Shazam: Find Music & Concerts by Apple Inc. maintained steady download numbers, ranging between 9.2K and 15.9K per week. Active users saw a slight decline from 906K in late December to around 744K by the end of March.
Sonos from Sonos, Inc. had a varied revenue stream, peaking at $542 in late February. Downloads fluctuated, with a notable decrease from 16.4K in late December to 6.6K by the end of March. Active users also saw a steady decline from 363K to approximately 253K.
Deezer: Music & Podcast Player from Deezer Music showed a consistent revenue stream, peaking at around $12.7K in late February. Downloads ranged from 2.7K to 5.2K per week, while active users remained stable, averaging around 370K throughout the quarter.
