In the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 social networking applications in the United Kingdom exhibited varied performance trends. Here's a closer look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Yubo : Make friends, live chat from Twelve APP showed fluctuations in its weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $146K in the final week of February. Weekly downloads declined from around 29K at the beginning of January to 16.6K by the end of March. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around the 370K mark.
BIGO LIVE-Live Stream, Go Live by BIGO TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD. saw its weekly revenue peak at around $203K in mid-January, with a noticeable drop to $123K in late March. Downloads began at 18.3K in late December, dipping to approximately 11K by the end of March. Active users showed a slight increase, moving from about 150K to 139K throughout the quarter.
Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out by Discord, Inc. experienced a peak in weekly revenue of around $171K at the end of February, with a consistent performance around the $125K mark for the rest of the quarter. Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat by Grindr LLC had its highest weekly revenue at approximately $189K in late February, ending the quarter around $142K. Downloads were stable, averaging about 7.5K per week. Active users fluctuated around the 330K mark, with slight variations throughout the quarter.
