In Q2 2022, the performance of the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform in Malta displayed a range of trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps saw varied download rates, with some experiencing significant growth.
Bolt: Request a Ride had a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 1.25K in the week of May 30. The app's downloads fluctuated but generally trended upwards, with notable spikes such as 1.03K in the week of April 18 and 1.15K in the week of May 23.
Heetch - Ride-hailing app experienced a more varied download trend, starting at 640 downloads in the week of March 28 and peaking at 915 downloads in the week of April 18. However, the app saw a decline in downloads towards the end of the quarter, dropping to 397 by the week of June 27.
Uber - Request a ride showed remarkable growth in weekly downloads, particularly in June. The app's downloads surged from 345 in the week of May 30 to 1.75K in the week of June 6. This upward trend continued with 1.45K downloads in the week of June 27.
GoTo Spain - Carsharing Madrid maintained a consistent download rate throughout the quarter. The app's weekly downloads peaked at 450 in the week of May 23 and then settled to around 276 downloads by the end of June.
Rapido: Bike-Taxi, Auto & Cabs also exhibited a positive trend in downloads. Starting with 63 downloads in the week of March 28, the app saw a peak of 444 downloads in the week of June 13, ending the quarter with a slight decline to 307 downloads in the week of June 27.
