During the second quarter of 2022, several food delivery service apps showed varied performance metrics on the Android platform in the United Kingdom. Here’s a snapshot of how the top 5 apps fared in terms of downloads, active users, and revenue.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste maintained a consistent download rate, starting with approximately 33.8K weekly downloads at the end of March and peaking at 37.1K in the first week of April. Throughout the quarter, the app's weekly downloads fluctuated, ending June with around 29K. Active users saw a general upward trend, beginning at 335K and reaching a high of 385K by late May, before stabilizing around 371K by the end of June.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery experienced a steady stream of downloads, starting with 29.4K in late March and showing a slight decline to 23.5K by mid-June, before a small uptick to 23.5K at the quarter’s end. Active users showed a moderate decline from 1.67M in late March to 1.41M by the end of June, with occasional increases, such as a peak of 1.7M in early May.
Just Eat - Food Delivery saw stable download numbers, starting with 20.1K in late March and averaging around 21K throughout the quarter. The app's active user base remained relatively steady, beginning at 701K and peaking at 726K in early May, before slightly declining to 661K by the end of June.
Deliveroo: Food & Shopping exhibited consistent download performance, starting at 22.5K in late March and maintaining around 20K to 22K weekly downloads throughout the quarter. Active users began at 1.36M and saw a gradual decline, ending June with approximately 1.24M.
getir: groceries in minutes showed a declining trend in downloads, starting with 16.2K in late March and dropping to around 7.2K by the end of June. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at 164K in late March and decreasing to approximately 109K by the end of June.
