In the second quarter of 2022, the top 5 navigation and maps apps on the Android platform in Chile showcased varying trends in weekly downloads, active users, and revenue. Here’s a closer look at their performance:
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 22.9K in mid-April. The app saw a slight drop in downloads towards the end of May but rebounded to 17.7K by the end of June. Weekly active users remained robust, ranging from 406.9K to 446.8K throughout the quarter.
Google Earth maintained a relatively stable download rate, with numbers hovering around 5.5K to 6.8K weekly. Active users saw minor fluctuations, peaking at 49.1K in mid-April and slightly dropping to 45K by the end of June.
GPS Navigation - Route Planner showed a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 1.7K in late March and reaching up to 3.2K by the end of June. Active users followed a similar trend, growing from 2.4K to 4.3K over the quarter.
GeoVictoriaApp exhibited a drop in downloads from 3.3K at the beginning of the quarter to 2.2K by the end of June. Despite this, the app's weekly active users saw an upward trend, increasing from 27.7K to 32.6K over the same period.
Lastly, GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation had a notable decline in weekly downloads, starting at 3.4K and decreasing to 1K by the end of June. Active users also saw a downward trend, from 8.5K to 5K over the quarter. The app generated modest weekly revenue, peaking at $65 in mid-June.
