During the second quarter of 2022, the top 5 dynamic games on iOS in South Africa showcased varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at their performance:
Roblox saw its weekly revenue fluctuate, starting at around $23.5K at the end of March and dipping to approximately $14.4K in mid-May before recovering to $22.6K by the end of June. Weekly downloads showed a similar trend, peaking at nearly 2.9K in late March, dropping to around 1.4K in early May, and then rising again to about 2.8K by the end of June. The game maintained a steady increase in weekly active users, growing from 40.9K at the beginning of April to 45.4K by the end of June.
Homescapes experienced a slight decline in weekly revenue, starting from approximately $13.6K at the end of March and gradually decreasing to around $10.1K by the end of June. Weekly downloads followed a downward trend, beginning at about 1.4K and ending at roughly 666 downloads. The game's weekly active users also showed a decline, starting at 20.5K and ending at 16.5K.
Evony displayed a positive trend in weekly revenue, starting at around $5.9K and peaking at approximately $13.7K by mid-June before closing the quarter at $12.3K. Weekly downloads were relatively stable, fluctuating between 998 and 2.3K. The game's weekly active users saw a decrease from 5.2K at the end of March to 3.1K by the end of June.
Gardenscapes showed a mixed performance in weekly revenue, starting at $12K in late March, dipping to around $8.8K in mid-June, and ending at $9.2K. Weekly downloads varied, with an initial low of 198 downloads rising to 434 by the end of June. The game's weekly active users remained fairly consistent, fluctuating between 1.7K and 2.3K throughout the quarter.
Golf Clash - Golfing Simulator had an upward trend in weekly revenue, starting at $4.2K at the end of March and peaking at $6.4K in early June, before closing the quarter at $4.5K. Weekly downloads showed a significant rise, starting at 43 downloads in late March and increasing to 103 by the end of June. The game's weekly active users also saw growth, from 113 at the end of March to 165 by June's end.
