The second quarter of 2022 saw notable performance trends among the top 5 fast food and fast casual restaurant apps in the United Kingdom. Below, we break down the weekly downloads and active user metrics for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.
McDonald’s U.K. experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 141K in the last week of March and seeing a dip to around 75K in mid-May. The app's weekly active users varied, starting at 826K and reaching a high of 952K in mid-April before gradually declining to 768K by the end of June.
Costa Coffee Club showed a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 28K in late March and peaking at 56K in mid-June. The app’s active users also saw growth, from 336K at the beginning of the quarter to 384K in mid-June, before slightly declining to 356K by the end of June.
Domino's Pizza Delivery saw consistent weekly downloads, with notable spikes such as 43K in mid-April and 42K in early June. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 253K, with minor fluctuations peaking at 266K in early June.
The Burger King App: Food & Drink had a significant surge in downloads in mid-May, reaching approximately 75K. The app’s active users also spiked in mid-May, increasing from 118K to 207K, before stabilizing around 129K by the end of June.
Lastly, Greggs maintained relatively steady weekly downloads, ranging between 18K and 27K throughout the quarter. Active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 107K and peaking at 118K in late June.
