In Q3 2022, the top city building games on Android in Costa Rica exhibited varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Below, we delve into the specifics of each game's performance, with data sourced from Sensor Tower.
The Simpsons™: Tapped Out from ELECTRONIC ARTS saw its weekly revenue fluctuate throughout the quarter, peaking at approximately $61 in the week of September 19. Weekly downloads reached their highest at 400 in early August, while weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 3K to 3.5K, with a slight dip towards the end of the quarter.
Land of Empires: Immortal by Nuverse experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, hitting $80 in early September. Weekly downloads, however, showed a downward trend, dropping from 252 in mid-July to 97 by the end of September. Active users followed a similar pattern, decreasing from 194 in early July to 96 by the end of the quarter.
SimCity BuildIt, another title from ELECTRONIC ARTS, had a significant revenue spike, reaching $152 in the last week of September. Weekly downloads were fairly consistent, peaking at 279 in early September. Active users saw a peak at 2.4K in early September, followed by a decline to 1.6K by the end of the quarter.
Megapolis: City Building Sim from Social Quantum Ltd showed a modest increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $69 in mid-September. Downloads were highest in late June at 418, but generally ranged between 114 and 241 throughout the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 177 and 428.
Lastly, MONOPOLY Tycoon by Nvizzio Creations, Inc. had a challenging quarter in terms of revenue, with no significant earnings reported. Weekly downloads decreased from a high of 260 in early July to 70 by the end of September. Active users also saw a decline, starting at 200 in early July and dropping to 74 by the end of the quarter.
