In Q3 2022, the top communication apps on the Android platform in the United Arab Emirates showcased varying trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. Here’s a detailed look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.
Throughout the quarter, WhatsApp Business saw a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads. Starting at approximately 72K in late June, downloads peaked at 111K in late July before gradually declining to around 45K by the end of September. The app maintained a steady weekly active user base, fluctuating between 1.5M and 1.7M.
GoChat Messenger experienced a significant drop in weekly downloads over the quarter. Downloads began at 121K in late June, peaked at 150K in early July, and then steadily declined to around 14K by the end of September. Despite this, weekly active users remained relatively stable, ranging from 179K to 295K.
Botim showed a steady revenue stream, with weekly earnings ranging from $400 to $700. Downloads fluctuated, starting at 52K in late June, peaking at 69K in early August, and ending at 30K by late September. Weekly active users remained consistent, hovering around 1.4M throughout the quarter.
Snapchat saw an increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $1.2K by the end of September. Downloads fluctuated, starting at 43K in late June, peaking at 75K in early July, and ending at 25K by late September. Active users ranged from 1M to 1.2M during the quarter.
Messenger experienced a varied revenue stream, reaching a high of $1.3K in mid-August. Weekly downloads showed a downward trend, starting at 40K in late June and decreasing to 26K by the end of September. Active users remained stable, fluctuating between 1.88M and 1.90M.
