The third quarter of 2022 saw a diverse performance among the top 5 dating apps in Madagascar, with each app showing unique trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared during this period, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Tinder maintained a consistent presence in Madagascar. Weekly revenue fluctuated, with a peak of approximately $592 in mid-August and a low of around $286 in early August. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, hovering around the 220-310 range, peaking at 309 in mid-September. Active users showed a gradual increase from 2.1K to 2.5K over the quarter.
Chamet experienced steady weekly revenue, averaging around $110, with a slight peak at $116 in late September. Downloads were more variable, ranging from a low of 31 in late August to a high of 121 in mid-September. Active user numbers increased, starting at 240 in late June and rising to 327 by mid-September.
Grindr's weekly revenue showed minor fluctuations, averaging around $66-$74. Downloads were relatively low, peaking at 24 in mid-July and generally staying below 20. However, active users remained steady, with a slight drop from 498 in early July to 427 by the end of September.
LivU had a consistent weekly revenue, averaging around $22-$26. However, the app saw minimal download activity, with only a few weeks registering downloads, peaking at 5 in late June. No active user data was available for LivU during this period.
BuzzCast's weekly revenue remained stable, averaging around $17-$19. The app had minimal downloads, with a peak of 7 in mid-July and several weeks of no downloads. No active user data was available for BuzzCast during this period.
