In Q3 2022, the top five shopping apps in Egypt showcased varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Below is a detailed look at each app's metrics.
Amazon Shopping saw a substantial increase in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 157K in late June and peaking at over 531K by mid-September. Active users for the app also showed a steady rise, beginning at 1.4M and ending the quarter at around 1.7M.
Jumia Online Shopping experienced a moderate increase in weekly downloads, starting at 114K in late June and reaching up to 144K by mid-September. The app’s active users also demonstrated growth, beginning at 1.3M and maintaining around 1.2M by the end of the quarter.
Alibaba.com had a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting from 123K in late June, dipping to around 52K in early August, then climbing back up to 109K by mid-September. Active users showed a slight increase, starting at approximately 527K and ending at 545K by the end of the quarter.
noon Shopping, Food, Grocery displayed consistent growth in weekly downloads, beginning at 43K in late June and peaking at 85K by late August. Active users remained relatively stable, with numbers fluctuating slightly around the 700K mark throughout the quarter.
Jiji Ethiopia showed steady weekly downloads, starting at 36K in late June and reaching up to 63K by mid-August, before settling at around 36K by the end of September. Active users exhibited a slight decline, starting at 460K and ending the quarter at approximately 479K.
