In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top communication apps on the Android platform in Georgia showcased varied performance trends in terms of weekly downloads and revenue. Here's a closer look at the performance metrics for WhatsApp Messenger, Telegram, Rakuten Viber Messenger, Snapchat, and Messenger.
WhatsApp Messenger experienced a relatively stable performance in weekly downloads, starting the quarter with approximately 6K downloads and ending with around 6.7K. The highest downloads were observed in the week of October 17, peaking at 7.2K. Notably, the app did not generate any revenue during this period.
For Telegram, weekly downloads saw some fluctuations, beginning at 5.5K in late September and dropping to around 3.4K by the end of December. However, the app's revenue showed a gradual increase, starting from $140 in the last week of September and reaching $210 by the final week of December.
Rakuten Viber Messenger displayed consistent weekly download numbers, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter. Downloads began at 3.4K in late September and rose to 4K by the end of December. Weekly revenue for the app remained modest, peaking at $74 in early November and stabilizing around $44 in the last two weeks of December.
Snapchat saw a notable rise in weekly downloads, starting from 3K in late September and culminating at 5.2K in the last week of December. The app's revenue also showed significant growth, ending the quarter with $26 in the final week compared to $5 at the beginning.
Messenger maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, starting at 3.1K and reaching 4K by the end of December. Revenue for the app was relatively low, with a peak of $25 in the last week of December, up from $9 at the start of the quarter.
