In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top five photography apps on the Android platform in the United States displayed notable trends in their weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. The data comes from Sensor Tower, and more insights can be found there.
Lensa: photo editor & AI art saw an extraordinary surge in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $2.2M in the first week of December. Weekly downloads also spiked during the same period, reaching around 597K. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, peaking at roughly 646K in early December before leveling off towards the end of the quarter.
Picsart: AI Photo Video Editor maintained a steady weekly revenue, ranging between $107K and $136K throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly, peaking at around 92K in the week of November 21. The app's weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 734K to 841K.
Amazon Photos had consistent weekly downloads, ranging from 23K to 43K. The app's weekly active users saw a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching approximately 473K in the last week of December.
Meitu experienced a significant increase in weekly revenue, peaking at roughly $10K in mid-December. Weekly downloads saw a surge, especially in the last week of November, reaching around 200K. Weekly active users also saw a notable rise, peaking at approximately 287K in early December.
ToonApp Cartoon Photo Editor had a stable weekly revenue, averaging around $16K to $18K. The app saw a significant spike in weekly downloads in early December, reaching approximately 62K. Weekly active users saw a peak of roughly 163K in the same period.
