During the fourth quarter of 2022, the performance of the top 5 Shoot'em Up games on Android in Australia showed diverse trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. The following insights are based on data from Sensor Tower.
Survivor.io by Habby experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $30K in the final week of December. Weekly downloads saw a significant rise mid-quarter, reaching around 26K in the week of October 17, but tapered off to about 6.5K by the end of December. The game’s weekly active users initially grew from 47K to a peak of 66K in mid-October before gradually declining to around 48K by the end of the quarter.
Mighty DOOM from Bethesda Softworks LLC saw a notable spike in weekly revenue, reaching nearly $4.7K in the week of October 17. Weekly downloads peaked early in the quarter at approximately 15.5K in the week of October 10 and then stabilized to around 3K by the end of December. Weekly active users also showed a rising trend, starting from 831 and reaching 12K by the end of the quarter.
1945 Air Force: Airplane games by 1SOFT maintained a consistent weekly revenue, peaking at about $2.3K in the last week of December. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly, with the highest figure being around 4K at the end of September and closing the quarter at around 3.5K. The game’s weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 12K to 14K throughout the quarter.
Zombie Defense: War Z Survival from Homa saw a gradual decline in weekly revenue, starting at $906 at the end of September and stabilizing around $284 by the end of December. Weekly downloads peaked at around 5.6K in early October and then settled to approximately 3.3K by the end of the quarter. The game’s weekly active users showed a downward trend from 9.3K at the end of September to about 5.5K by the end of December.
Galaxiga Arcade Shooting Game by 1SOFT experienced a significant increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $13.7K in the week of December 19. Weekly downloads saw a modest rise, reaching about 4K in the last week of December. The game’s weekly active users showed a steady upward trend, growing from around 14K at the end of September to nearly 18K by the end of December.
