During the fourth quarter of 2022, the top 5 shopping apps on Android in Mexico showcased varying trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a detailed look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Mercado Libre: Compras online saw a fluctuating download trend, with a peak of around 278K downloads in the final week of December. Weekly active users varied slightly, starting at approximately 7.7M and reaching a high of about 8.5M in mid-December before ending the quarter at around 7.9M.
SHEIN-Shopping Online experienced a downward trend in downloads, from roughly 253K in early October to about 178K by mid-December, with a slight recovery to 231K in the last week of December. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 3.3M, peaking at around 3.6M in late November, and ending the quarter at approximately 3M.
Shopee MX: 9.9 Día de Compras maintained a relatively stable download rate, fluctuating between 134K and 176K, with a noticeable peak of around 166K in the final week of December. Active users showed slight fluctuations, starting at approximately 2.5M and ending the quarter at around 2.3M.
Bodega Aurrera En Línea demonstrated a significant increase in downloads mid-quarter, peaking at about 253K in early November. The active user count also saw a notable rise, from around 545K in late September to approximately 767K by the end of December.
Coppel: compras en línea showed a consistent download rate, averaging around 130K to 150K per week, with a peak of 146K in the last week of December. Active users steadily increased from approximately 1.4M in late September to about 1.6M by the end of December.
