In Q4 2022, the top 5 dining and restaurant apps on the iOS platform in the United States saw a range of performance metrics. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared in terms of weekly downloads and active users.
McDonald's consistently led in weekly downloads, peaking at around 403K in early October. The app saw a steady decline towards the end of December, ending the quarter with approximately 220K downloads. Active users for McDonald's also showed a fluctuating trend, starting with about 5.0M in late September and peaking at 6.2M in early December before slightly declining to 5.1M by the end of the year.
Starbucks maintained a stable weekly download rate, averaging around 150K to 170K downloads throughout the quarter. The app's active user base remained strong, starting at 3.9M in late September and peaking at 4.5M by the end of October. It finished the quarter with approximately 4.3M active users.
Domino's Pizza USA experienced moderate weekly downloads, peaking at about 141K in late November. The app saw its lowest download numbers in early October at around 94K. Active users for Domino's Pizza USA were relatively stable, starting at 2.4M and peaking at 2.5M by the end of December.
Chick-fil-A showed consistent weekly downloads, with numbers ranging from 90K to 134K throughout the quarter. The app's active user base remained steady, starting at 1.2M in late September and reaching up to 1.3M by mid-December.
Crumbl had a varied performance in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 148K in late September and seeing a low of around 81K in early December. The app's active users showed a slight upward trend, starting at 1.0M in late September and ending the quarter at about 1.1M.
