During the fourth quarter of 2022, the top food delivery service applications on iOS in Australia demonstrated varying trends in downloads and active users. Here, we break down the performance of the leading apps: Uber Eats: Food Delivery, DoorDash - Food Delivery, Menulog - Food Delivery, Grab: Taxi Ride, Food Delivery, and BWS on tAPP.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, peaking at approximately 19K in early October and closing the year at around 17K. Weekly active users started at about 738K in late September, dipped to 671K by mid-December, and slightly recovered to 696K by the end of the quarter.
DoorDash - Food Delivery experienced a relatively stable download trend, with numbers ranging from 13.5K to 18K, peaking in mid-November. The app's active users began at 324K in late September, saw a minor dip in October, and ended the quarter strong with 314K users.
Menulog - Food Delivery had a consistent download rate, with weekly figures hovering around 9.5K to 12.7K, ending the quarter at approximately 12K. Active users saw a slight decline from 158K in late September to 143K by the end of December.
Grab: Taxi Ride, Food Delivery showed a gradual increase in downloads, starting at around 6.9K and rising to over 10K by the final week of December. Active users exhibited a steady climb from 109K in late September to 142K by the end of the quarter.
BWS on tAPP experienced a significant surge in downloads towards the end of the year, jumping from 2.5K in late September to approximately 5.8K by the last week of December. Active users also increased from 19K to 25K over the same period.
