In Q4 2022, the top 5 shopping apps on iOS in Costa Rica demonstrated diverse trends in user engagement and downloads. Below, we provide a detailed breakdown based on data from Sensor Tower.
SHEIN - Shopping Online saw a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 3K in the week of October 31 and then gradually declining to around 1.8K by the end of December. Active users also showed variability, starting at about 31.9K in late September and reaching a high of 35.1K in mid-November, before settling around 34.5K at the end of the quarter.
Amazon Shopping experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting from 851 in late September and rising to a peak of 1.1K by the final week of December. The app's active users followed a similar trend, growing from approximately 39.7K in late September to nearly 45K by the end of December.
HITCH had an initial surge in weekly downloads, with a notable peak of over 4.1K in late September. However, the downloads significantly dropped in the subsequent weeks, stabilizing around 52 by the end of December.
Alibaba.com maintained a relatively stable download rate throughout the quarter, with weekly downloads ranging from 360 to 654. Active users also showed consistency, starting at approximately 6.6K in late September and ending the quarter at around 7.2K.
PriceSmart App saw a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting from 415 in late September and peaking at 589 in mid-December, before slightly dropping to 439 in the final week of December. Active users for PriceSmart App showed a steady growth from around 3.2K in late September to 3.8K by mid-December, ending the quarter at approximately 3.6K.
