The travel app landscape in the Dominican Republic saw significant activity in the fourth quarter of 2022. Here’s a closer look at the performance metrics for the top five travel apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
During Q4 2022, Uber - Request a ride demonstrated a consistent increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 5.9K in the week of December 19. The app’s weekly active users also showed an upward trend, reaching approximately 91.9K in mid-December before experiencing a slight decline to 79.6K by the end of the quarter.
DiDi Rider: Affordable rides maintained a steady performance in terms of weekly downloads, with a notable peak of about 4.6K in late September. The app’s weekly active users saw a gradual increase, reaching around 43.4K by the end of December.
inDrive. Save on city rides experienced steady growth in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 4.5K in the week of December 19. The weekly active users also showed a positive trend, rising to about 78.1K by mid-December before slightly dipping to 77.2K at the end of the month.
Airbnb exhibited a stable pattern in weekly downloads, with a peak of around 1.3K in the final week of December. The app's weekly active users remained relatively constant, hovering around 13K to 14K throughout the quarter.
Booking.com: Hotels & Travel's weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of about 1.6K in early October. The app’s weekly active users saw a significant rise towards the end of the quarter, peaking at approximately 20.3K in the last week of December.
