The fourth quarter of 2022 witnessed dynamic performances from the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Paraguay. Data from Sensor Tower reveals interesting trends across Bolt: Request a Ride, Uber - Request a ride, inDrive. Save on city rides, Picap, and Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver.
Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a fluctuating yet generally positive trend in weekly downloads. Starting the quarter with around 25.8K downloads, it saw a significant rise to 51.6K in the week of December 5. The app maintained a consistent performance, ending the year with approximately 35.5K downloads.
Uber - Request a ride also showed a promising increase in weekly downloads. Initially, the app had about 3.8K downloads, which surged to 13K by December 19. This consistent growth reflects the app's increasing adoption among users in Paraguay.
inDrive. Save on city rides had a notable spike in mid-November, with downloads jumping from around 2.1K to over 8.3K. The app continued to gain traction, peaking at 15.6K downloads in the week of December 19, before slightly dropping to 11.2K by the end of the year.
Picap showed a less consistent performance in terms of weekly downloads. Starting with 658 downloads, it saw a couple of peaks, notably 1.6K in mid-October and 1.7K in mid-December. However, the app also experienced weeks with significantly lower download numbers.
Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver saw a steady increase in weekly downloads throughout the quarter. Beginning with 717 downloads, the app's popularity grew to 1.2K by the last week of December, indicating a growing interest among potential drivers.
