During the fourth quarter of 2022, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in the United States exhibited varied performance metrics in terms of downloads and active users. Here's a closer look at the trends for each app.
Request a ride saw fluctuating weekly downloads, starting at approximately 339K in late September and peaking at around 388K in the final week of December. The app's weekly active users also showed some variation, beginning at about 11.2M and ending the quarter at roughly 11.6M.
Lift experienced a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, starting at around 229K and reaching about 266K by the end of December. Weekly active users for Lyft started at approximately 5.6M and concluded the quarter at around 5.6M, with some variations throughout the period.
Drive & Deliver demonstrated an increase in weekly downloads, beginning at about 138K and peaking at around 159K by the end of the quarter. The app's weekly active users showed a gradual increase from approximately 2.5M to around 2.5M over the same period.
Lyft Driver had a steady rise in weekly downloads, starting at around 39K and reaching approximately 48K by the end of December. Weekly active users for Lyft Driver remained relatively stable, beginning at around 535K and ending at roughly 565K.
Lastly, Request a Ride showed modest growth in weekly downloads, starting at about 35K and ending the quarter at around 42K. Active users for this app started at approximately 50K and increased to around 54K by the end of December.
