In Q4 2022, the top five delivered meal kits and specialty foods apps in Australia showed diverse performance metrics on the unified platform. Here's a closer look at the weekly downloads and active users for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.
HelloFresh: Meal Kit Delivery experienced a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 5.8K at the end of September and declining to around 2.5K by the end of December. The app's weekly active users saw a slight dip from 177.5K to 170.9K over the same period, with a notable drop mid-quarter before recovering towards the end.
Youfoodz: Custom Meal Plan had a relatively steady performance in weekly downloads, starting at 4K and ending the quarter with around 2.2K. The highest download rate was observed in mid-October with 5.1K downloads.
Vivino: Buy the Right Wine showed consistent weekly downloads, beginning at 1.5K and peaking at 2.9K during the week of December 19. The app's weekly active users grew from 5.4K to 7.7K, with a significant increase in mid-December.
EveryPlate: Cooking Simplified had stable weekly downloads, starting at 2.1K and slightly decreasing to 1.1K by the end of the quarter. The weekly active users remained relatively constant, averaging around 15K throughout the quarter.
My Muscle Chef experienced a downward trend in weekly downloads, beginning at 1.5K and dropping to approximately 1K by the end of December.
