In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 city building games on the Android platform in Norway showed varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how these games fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Legend City from Neorigin Games Publishing saw fluctuations in its weekly revenue, peaking at around $1.4K at the end of December 2022 and dipping to approximately $402 by the end of March 2023. The game had a small number of weekly downloads early in January but remained flat for the rest of the quarter. Weekly active users saw a decline, starting from 282 in late December 2022 and falling to 189 by the end of March 2023.
SimCity BuildIt by ELECTRONIC ARTS experienced a steady revenue stream, with a peak of about $1K in mid-February. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, with minor fluctuations, and active users hovered around 1.2K throughout the quarter, showing a slight decline towards the end.
Land of Empires: Immortal, published by Nuverse, had varied weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $1.1K in mid-February but dropping to around $247 by the end of March. Downloads saw a gradual decline from 25 in late December 2022 to just 11 by the end of March 2023. Active users also decreased from 85 at the start of the quarter to 64 by the end.
Merge County from Microfun Limited showed a downward trend in weekly revenue, starting at $822 at the end of December 2022 and decreasing to about $359 by the end of March 2023. The game had minimal weekly downloads, and active users dropped from 171 in late December 2022 to 151 by the end of March 2023.
Finally, Trailer Park Boys:Greasy Money by East Side Games Studio saw a varied revenue trend, peaking at $765 in late January and dropping to $234 by the end of March 2023. Weekly downloads were sporadic, with a few peaks in January and February. Active users fluctuated, starting at 79 in late December 2022 and decreasing to 68 by the end of March 2023.
