In Q1 2023, the top consumer finance apps on the Android platform in Brazil showed dynamic trends in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at how the top 5 apps performed based on data from Sensor Tower.

Nubank: conta, cartão e mais experienced a robust increase in weekly downloads, beginning the quarter with approximately 450K downloads in late December and peaking at around 676K by the end of March. The app also saw a steady rise in weekly active users, starting at 32.9M and reaching 36.2M by the end of the quarter.

PicPay: Conta, Cartão e Pix had consistent download figures, with a slight dip mid-quarter. Downloads started at around 252K in late December, fluctuated slightly, and ended the quarter at approximately 270K. Weekly active users saw a minor decline, starting at 12.1M and closing the quarter at 11.7M.

Bradesco: Conta, Cartão e Pix! showed a noticeable spike in downloads in early January at 312K, but this number gradually decreased, ending the quarter at around 200K. Active users also saw fluctuations, starting at 11.3M and ending slightly lower at 11.1M.

CAIXA maintained relatively stable download numbers throughout the quarter, beginning at approximately 238K and ending at around 198K. The app’s active users also remained steady, starting at 11.3M and ending the quarter at 11.1M.

Banco will: Cartão de crédito recorded an increase in downloads, starting at about 106K in late December and peaking at around 265K in early January, before stabilizing at around 206K towards the end of March. Active users for Banco will also saw an upward trend, beginning the quarter at 2.3M and rising to 2.8M by the end of March.
