In the first quarter of 2023, the Gacha game market on Android in Europe showcased some noteworthy trends. The top five games in this category were Genshin Impact, Empires & Puzzles: Match-3 RPG, Rise of Kingdoms: Lost Crusade, RAID: Shadow Legends, and Frost & Flame: King of Avalon. Data from Sensor Tower provides detailed insights into their performance.
Genshin Impact saw a significant peak in weekly revenue, reaching around $1.8M in early February. Weekly downloads began at 204K at the start of the quarter but gradually declined to approximately 104K by the end of March. Weekly active users fluctuated, peaking at over 2.5M in mid-January before descending to just over 2M by the end of the quarter.
Empires & Puzzles: Match-3 RPG experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $1.3M in the final week of March. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with a notable rise to about 63K in early February before settling at around 43K by the end of March. Active users saw a slight decline, starting at around 652K and ending at a similar level.
Rise of Kingdoms: Lost Crusade showed a revenue peak of approximately $1.2M in the week of March 20. Weekly downloads saw a significant increase, particularly in the final week of March, reaching over 130K. Active users grew steadily, starting at 1M and peaking at about 1.3M in the last week of March.
RAID: Shadow Legends had a steady weekly revenue trend, peaking at around $719K in the last week of March. Downloads saw some fluctuation, with a peak of about 57K in late January. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around the 200K mark throughout the quarter.
Frost & Flame: King of Avalon maintained a consistent revenue stream, peaking at around $522K in early February. Weekly downloads remained relatively low, with a peak of 2.7K in early January and a decline to 889 by the end of March. Active users saw a gradual decline from 55.9K at the start of the quarter to about 36K by the end.
