During the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 insurance apps on Android in Egypt showcased varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a detailed look at their trends:
GlobeMed Fit experienced a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads, starting strong with approximately 3.1K downloads in early January and then gradually declining to around 1.3K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users mirrored this trend, peaking at about 6.4K at the start of January and tapering down to roughly 4.5K towards the end of the quarter.
MetLife eServices(Egypt) saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, beginning with 893 downloads in late December and peaking at approximately 1.7K in mid-March. This steady growth indicates a rising interest in the app throughout the quarter.
MyAXA Egypt demonstrated moderate weekly download numbers, fluctuating between 834 and 1.5K. The highest number of downloads was recorded in the week of February 20, with around 1.5K downloads. Despite these fluctuations, the app maintained a stable presence in the market.
Lumi by Nextcare showed a similar pattern with weekly downloads ranging from 729 to 1.4K. The app hit its peak download numbers in early January with approximately 1.5K downloads. The weekly active users for Lumi by Nextcare also increased steadily, reaching around 5.2K in mid-February before stabilizing at approximately 4.4K by the end of March.
Al-Ahly Medical Program, a newer entrant, had a significant surge in downloads in early February, reaching over 4K downloads. However, this number dropped sharply in the following weeks, stabilizing at around 228 downloads by the end of March.
