In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 personal finance budgeting and planning applications on the Android platform in the United States showcased varied performance trends. Here’s a closer look at the key metrics for each app based on data from Sensor Tower.
Rocket Money - Bills & Budgets experienced consistent weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $45.2K in the middle of March. Downloads started strong at 148.7K in the first week of January but saw a decline, stabilizing at around 47.2K by the end of March. Active users also showed a downward trend, starting at 674.3K at the end of December and ending at 545.7K by late March.
EveryDollar: Budget Tracker saw a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $26.2K by mid-January before experiencing fluctuations and settling at $16.5K by the end of March. Downloads were relatively stable, averaging around 4.5K to 6K weekly. Active users slightly declined from 88.2K in early January to 75.1K by the end of the quarter.
YNAB showed an upward trend in weekly revenue, reaching $27.8K in early February. Downloads, however, saw a significant drop, starting at 14.2K in late December and falling to 2.2K by the end of March. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 41K throughout the quarter.
Quicken Simplifi: Budget Smart generated steady weekly revenue, peaking at $6.6K in late February. Downloads were modest, fluctuating between 1.4K to 2.3K weekly.
Wallet: Budget Expense Tracker experienced consistent weekly revenue, with a peak of approximately $5.8K in late February. Downloads showed some variation, starting at 4.2K in early January and decreasing to around 2.6K by the end of March. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 10.4K throughout the quarter.
