In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 word puzzle games on the Android platform in Germany showed varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a detailed look at each game’s performance based on data from Sensor Tower.
Wort Guru from ZenLife Games Ltd experienced a consistent presence. Weekly revenue fluctuated, peaking at around $5.9K in mid-March, while weekly downloads reached a high of approximately 22.7K in early March. Active users saw an upward trend, peaking at about 97K in early March before tapering off slightly towards the end of the quarter.
Words of Wonders: Crossword by Fugo Games showed a steady revenue stream, with a peak of approximately $6.1K in early January. Downloads, however, showed a declining trend, starting at around 23.4K in late December and dropping to about 12.9K by the end of March. Active users also decreased from approximately 117K in late December to around 99.3K by the end of the quarter.
Wordzee! - Social Word Game from MAG Interactive saw a decline in both downloads and active users throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads started at around 2.1K in late December and declined to just under 600 by the end of March. Active users mirrored this trend, dropping from approximately 11.8K to about 8.9K over the same period. Weekly revenue showed minor fluctuations, peaking at around $5.4K in early January.
Wordscapes by PeopleFun had a relatively stable performance in terms of downloads and active users. Downloads fluctuated between approximately 11K in late December and 5.8K in early March, while active users ranged from around 51K to 41.4K. Revenue peaked at about $3.9K in late December but saw a general decline, ending the quarter at around $1.4K.
Wörter Los! - Kreuzworträtsel from Joy Vendor showed a significant decline in performance across all metrics. Weekly revenue dropped from around $3.7K in late December to approximately $473 in late March. Downloads also saw a decrease from about 22.2K to 10.6K, while active users fell from approximately 89.8K to 82K over the quarter.
